Samba – Terms of Use & Privacy Policy

Samba is an unofficial football guessing game where users identify players based on club history. The app may include solo play, online matches, friend challenges, random matchmaking, weekly competitions, leaderboards, hints, optional ads, optional subscriptions, push notifications, and avatar customization.
Samba is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with any clubs, leagues, competitions, organizations, brands, or players mentioned in the app. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
USERNAMES, FRIENDS AND ONLINE MATCHES
Usernames, avatars, levels, scores, match status, turn status, leaderboard positions, weekly competition scores, and related gameplay information may be visible to other users. You may not use offensive, abusive, misleading, impersonating, hateful, illegal, or inappropriate names or behavior.
Online features may allow users to search for other users, add friends, send and receive friend requests, invite friends to matches, play random opponents, and receive turn-based notifications. We may remove matches, friend connections, usernames, accounts, rewards, leaderboard entries, or access to online features if misuse, cheating, spam, harassment, abuse, technical manipulation, or rule violations are suspected.
MATCHES, COMPETITIONS AND REWARDS
Online matches and weekly competitions may use categories, timed questions, hints, scoring rules, match timers, and rewards set by the app. We may change rules, categories, question pools, scoring, rewards, time limits, availability, or match handling to fix bugs, prevent abuse, improve balance, or maintain the service.
Rewards such as hints have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may not be transferred. We may correct, withhold, or remove rewards caused by cheating, technical errors, refunds, fraud, abuse, suspicious activity, or rule violations.
HINTS AND VIRTUAL ITEMS
Hints and other in-app items are digital features for use inside Samba only. They have no cash value, are not your property, and cannot be transferred, sold, exchanged, or redeemed for money.
AVATARS
Premium users may be able to customize avatars. Avatar designs may be visible to other users in online features. Avatar access may depend on your current premium entitlement. If Premium expires, we may hide the custom avatar while keeping the saved design so it can be restored if Premium becomes active again.
PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
If you allow notifications, Samba may send notifications about match invitations, when it is your turn, match time reminders, rewards, purchases, or important service messages. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
Samba may offer optional consumable purchases, non-consumable purchases, and auto-renewable subscriptions, including Premium and/or ad-free subscription options. Subscription benefits may include ad-free play, monthly hints, avatar customization, or other benefits shown in the app at the time of purchase.
Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID is charged according to Apple’s rules. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Prices, offers, taxes, and availability may vary by country or region.
Apple handles payments, refunds, receipts, billing, subscription management, and family sharing where applicable. We do not receive your full payment card details. If a purchase is refunded, cancelled, revoked, or cannot be verified, related benefits may be removed.
If you previously purchased lifetime ad-free access, we intend to continue honoring that entitlement for ad-free access, subject to technical availability, restore purchase validation, and App Store rules.
ADS AND CONSENT
The free version may display ads provided by Google AdMob or other advertising partners. In regions where consent is required, you may be asked to choose privacy and ad consent preferences. You can manage available consent settings from the app’s Privacy Settings when supported.
DATA WE MAY COLLECT
We may collect or process username, friend requests, friend relationships, online match invitations, match activity, weekly competition participation, avatar customization choices, game progress, hints and reward balances, leaderboard data, support messages, consent choices, device type, app version, device/app identifiers, Firebase authentication identifiers, push notification tokens, crash logs, diagnostics, purchase entitlement status, product identifiers, transaction verification data, basic usage events, ad events, and approximate country or region where available.
HOW WE USE DATA
We use data to run the app, save progress, provide hints and rewards, provide purchases and subscriptions, restore purchases, enable online matches, friends, matchmaking and competitions, show leaderboards, send allowed notifications, prevent cheating/fraud/abuse, improve stability and gameplay, show ads, manage ad consent, perform analytics, and respond to support requests.
ANALYTICS AND DIAGNOSTICS
We use Google Firebase, including Google Analytics for Firebase, to understand how the app is used, measure feature performance, monitor active users, improve gameplay, find technical issues, and make product decisions. Analytics data may include event names, timestamps, app version, device information, approximate country/region, product IDs, ad/reward events, gameplay event parameters, and app instance identifiers.
DATA SHARING
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers needed to operate the app, including Apple, Google Firebase, Google AdMob, analytics/diagnostics providers, cloud hosting providers, and support tools. These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
SERVICES USED
Apple App Store, Apple Push Notification service, Google Firebase, Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, and related cloud/diagnostic services.
DATA DELETION
Deleting your account/data may permanently delete your username, progress, hints, avatar data, friend data, online match data, leaderboard entries, weekly competition data, and other app data from your device and our active systems where technically possible. This cannot be undone. Some data may remain in backups, logs, anti-abuse records, purchase records, or records we must keep for legal, security, fraud prevention, or accounting reasons.
